IPL 2021: Bangalore restricts Rajasthan to 149, also took nine wickets

New Delhi, Sep 30 (Cricket Galiyara) Royal Challengers Bangalore began a post-Powerplay collapse to restrict Rajasthan Royals to 149/9 in 20 overs in Match 43 of IPL 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday. It was quite a drop for Rajasthan, who were 100/1 in eleven overs. But the 2008 champions lost eight wickets for 49 runs in the last nine overs after being asked to bat first. Openers Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed seven boundaries between each other to take Rajasthan to 56/0 in the power-play. Five of those boundaries were from Lewis, who was the more aggressive of the two. Also Read: Pakistan Cricket Board accepts Wasim Khan’s resignation as CEO

Lewis hit debutant George Garten for two drawn sixes on either side of the cut through backward point in the fourth over. After the power-play, Jaiswal chases Dan Christian, He was hit for two fours in the seventh over. Jaiswal started the ninth over with a six off Christian at extra cover. But the all-rounder had the last laugh as the next ball, Jaiswal wronged Loft at mid-off to end up at the opening stand for 77. Chahal took his second wicket of the match as Liam Livingstone was dismissed at long-on in the 17th over. Patel came back in the final over to put Riyan Parag and Chris Morris off successive deliveries to put Rajasthan down 150 to dismiss Chetan Sakaria on the final ball.
